Tommy,

Nice puzzle, as always. You do have the Crosaire style down pat, I think.

I am afraid I failed by one. I could not come up SATIRE. I had it in my mind that "wit" was a typo for "with", so I was thrown completely. Nice to see you using SALTIRE though, a Lookup of the Day in the Crosaire puzzle not so long ago.

Here are my notes along the way:

CALAMINE ... well spotted anagram.
ABROAD ... classic, very nice.
LITIGANT ... got it, but didn't spot the anagram.
CERISE ... got it too, but not sure where the CE comes from!
CORVETTE ... missed the "tea" in the anagram, thinking the infusion was the insertion of the East!
COOLOCK ... methinks you have a leaning towards the northside ... a lot less mention of the southside in your puzzles, Tommy!
SEAFARER ... lovely
EUNUCH ... ouch!
MACAROON ... I'm always fogetting about the CA/circa abbreviation. Going to have to use it an a WEB puzzle ...
BOUNCE ... great use of "a follower". Will be stealing that too!
USERNAME ... lovely surface reading.
MARITIME ... very nice use of once (I-TIME), makes it Clue of the Day for me.
LINIMENT ... I think you might have fallen into the same trap I've done in the past. 999 isn't IM in Roman numerals (it's CMXCIX).
URANIUM ... "You foresee" (U for C) ... brilliant!
FIANNA ... nice to see a clue that keeps a Sasanach guessing! :)

As always, good stuff, Tommy. Looking forward to your next offering.
